There’s something special about coming home from a trip with a stack of Polaroids in hand.

Our Polaroid Package is an invitation to experience the city a little differently. We’ll send you out with a Polaroid camera to document your stay; the places you wander into, the meals worth remembering, and all those little Portland moments in between.

And while you’re at it, why not make the whole day analog?

Portland happens to be particularly good at the old-school stuff. Records, vintage clothes, independent magazines, wonderfully weird used books, and even a new analog photo booth are all waiting around town. Here are a few stops to add to your itinerary.

Moody Lords

Part record store, part vintage shop, Moody Lords is the kind of place you can easily lose an hour. Flip through the vinyl, browse the racks, and leave with something you definitely didn’t know you needed.

BOLD Magazine Shop

For those who still appreciate the pleasure of flipping through a really good magazine, BOLD Magazine is a must. Browse independent publications covering art, design, fashion, food, travel, culture, and plenty more.

Green Hand Bookshop

One of Portland’s most wonderfully eclectic bookstores, Green Hand is packed with used and vintage books, from classic literature and local history to sci-fi, horror, and the fantastically obscure.

Longfellow Books

A longtime Portland favorite for new books, tucked right downtown in Monument Square. Stop in without a plan, browse the staff picks, and find something good to bring back to your room.

Pinecone + Chickadee

A colorful downtown shop filled with vintage clothing, retro home goods, accessories, and plenty of unexpected analog finds. It’s a fun one to browse slowly, you never quite know what you’ll leave with.

The Analog Photobooth

Keep the analog memories going at Off Track Pizza, where a Maine’s first (and only!) analog photobooth makes a pretty good excuse to grab a slice. Squeeze in, strike a pose, and leave with another tangible souvenir from your trip.

Whether you come home with a new record, a vintage find, a stack of books, or timeless photos, there’s something special about having a tangible reminder of a trip. Portland is full of places that make it easy to slow down, browse awhile, and bring a little piece of the city home with you.

Abigayle Clark

Abigayle Clark is the General Manager of The Francis, where historic character meets modern hospitality in the heart of Portland. She’s a go-to for local insight, and when she’s not at the hotel, she’s likely hanging with her cat George or skating with her roller derby team.
